Landmanager
Lease and land management
Landmanager is a software solution for managing leased and owned agricultural land. Developed by farmers and GIS-experts, the application is specifically designed for agricultural businesses and landowners.
Complex applications only unfold their true value when they are easy to access. That is why we develop modern web solutions that present geospatial and domain specific data in an interactive and comprehensible way. With cloud hosting, open interfaces, and scalable infrastructure, we create systems that are flexible to use and noticeably simplify the daily work of users.

Satellite and weather data for precise grassland management
SatGrass is an implementation project that transforms satellite- and weather-based models for estimating yield and forage quality of Austrian grasslands into an operational system. The goal is to provide an application for farmers, agricultural institutions, and researchers that delivers reliable, near real-time information.
Early forest fire detection using drones
Forest fires pose an increasing threat to the environment, the population, and the economy, especially during the dry summer months. The project investigates how commercially available drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to detect potential fires early and precisely locate them. The goal is to develop a cost-effective and reliable alternative to existing monitoring methods.
Seamless Compliance for Shipowners and Fleet Managers
Sea Network is a global platform that enables shipowners and fleet managers to monitor their compliance 24/7. Shipowners can see whether safety, medical, or communication-related certificates are valid, about to expire, or have already expired. At the same time, users can book maintenance or inspections directly through the platform and choose between different service types and ports.
API development for important biodiversity areas (IBAs)
Development of a backend API to collect and review threats reported for BirdLife's IBAs (Important Biodiversity Areas). The API is consumed by both the mobile apps as well as by the web application.
Building a campaign system for the LACO-Wiki land cover validation platform
Palm oil cultivation has been criticized for impacts on the natural environment, including deforestation, loss of natural habitats, which has threatened endangered species and increased greenhouse gas emissions. Maps of palm oil extent have been produced by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab by means of use of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) imagery in several iterations.
Global forest plot data for earth observation and land surface modelling
The International Forest Biomass Network (IFBN) is an international cooperation to establish and maintain a global in-situ forest biomass database. IFBN is launched under the auspices of the European Space Agency, to provide ground biomass data measurements for the Earth Explorer mission BIOMASS.
AusCover, is providing an online and mobile means to test and validate maps of land-cover and biophysical variables
As it is difficult to obtain accurate validation data over large areas, the Geo-Wiki website allows “citizen-scientists” and volunteers to view, with Google Earth as a backdrop, these maps in real time, and apply their local area knowledge to determine if the classification is correct or incorrect. If the mapped features are deemed incorrect, the volunteer submits information on which land-cover class or other variable would be more appropriate. The submitted validation information is recorded and used iteratively to produce new and more accurate land-cover and other biophysical parameter maps.
