Reference system
The reference system is a GIS based system for managing and maintaining agricultural reference areas. It serves as a central basis for identifying, locating, and delineating agriculturally used areas, as well as for calculating area based agricultural subsidies.
The system uses current orthophotos, geometries from the application process, and other specialized geodata layers from other administrative bodies. This data forms the basis for a precise digital representation of agricultural land use and enables continuous updates to the reference system.
Purpose and Scope: The reference system forms the technical and professional basis for administrative and on-site inspections within the framework of agricultural subsidies. It enables the reliable verification of maximum eligible areas and supports both the administration and the inspection service in the evaluation and updating of land data.
